The short version: your recordings never leave your Mac. The app has no account, no analytics and no tracking. We only see what’s needed to sell you a license and support you.
In the app
Glido stores your recordings, edits, exports and library in folders on your Mac (Movies › Glido, and Glido’s folder in Application Support). To name demo steps, it reads the label of the button or field you click, on your Mac, using macOS Accessibility. None of this is sent to us or anyone else.
The app connects to the internet for two things only:
- License checks with Dodo Payments: activating sends your license key and your Mac’s name; later checks send the key and that Mac’s activation id.
- Update checks, which send the app version.
When you buy
Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, collects your email and payment details to process the order, handle tax, and send your receipt and license key. We receive your email and order details so we can support you and process refunds. We never see your full card details. See Dodo’s privacy policy.
On this website
glido.studio sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you: it sees the page, the referring site, and your country and device type, in aggregate. The app itself sends nothing.
Your rights
Email hello@glido.studio to ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. To remove Glido’s data from your Mac, delete the Glido folders mentioned above.
